Coconuts and their byproducts are of course useful. Every part of this gigantic
tropical seed is utilized. The outer fibers are strong and durable used traditionally
for bedding¸ matting and brushes. The husk is compacted and used for fuel and
for insulation materials. The flesh and coconut milk in it´s different varieties
used in the food industry. Also these products are used in the pharmaceutical
industry. Coconut oil is prized for it´s medicinal effects and is a prime ingredient
for lotions ¸ potions ¸ skin cream ¸ ointments and shampoo and hair conditioners.

• Coconut oil : It is derived from coconuts and acts as a surfactant and has good cleansing
properties. It is used as an emollient in soaps and as a shine enhancer in some
hair products.
• Coconut milk : Blended with coconut cream and coconut water resulting in a form of milk emulsion.
Concentrates of 5-7%, 12-14%, 17-19% and 19-22% fat. Good for cooking dishes and
also making cookies.
• Coconut cream powder : It is higher in content of 22% fat. Its thick texture is ideal for cookies recipes.
• Coconut flakes : Freeze dried coconut flakes have a very sweet taste and contain no preservatives
or chemical additives. They are freshly frozen to 20 degrees F below zero and
then dried¸ retaining the nutrients.
